Burda WTG Relax Glass is a compact radiant WiFi heater with Schott Nextrema® ceramic glass and the best heating results on outdoor surfaces thanks to short-wave IR-A infrared radiation. In addition to controlling the heater via remote control (included) or toggle switch, the compact WiFi heater can be connected to a WiFi network via a free app (TUYA or SMART LIFE) and conveniently operated with Android/iOS devices. With a power of 2,000 W, it offers optimum thermal efficiency on all outdoor surfaces thanks to infrared shortwave technology. The design in a black housing with heat-resistant black glass-ceramic front from Schott blends elegantly into the terrace ambience.
Burda WTG infrared shortwave heaters in the range of 1,000 to 2,000 W provide instant heat on all outdoor surfaces or wherever you want directional instantaneous heating. The fully waterproof heaters (IP67) are equipped with a high-quality infrared golden Low Glare tube bulb that reliably delivers maximum heat even in humidity, rain or snow. Thanks to its open construction (no glass cover), the bulb is maximally ventilated and achieves a very long lifetime of up to 5000 hours. The elegant and space-saving housing design of the innovative outdoor heater is suitable for wall and/or ceiling mounting. The patio heaters can also be installed under awnings or trellises.
How does it work?
Infrared radiation is divided into three wavelengths: long wave, medium wave and short wave. Only short-wavelength infrared rays can pass through the atmosphere without heating up, and are only converted to heat when they come into contact with denser substances such as bodies. Therefore, shortwave infrared heating does not heat the atmosphere, but only the body, which is the only sensible outdoor heating principle with an efficiency of as much as 93%. As a pioneer in shortwave infrared heaters, Burda WTG offers energy-saving and targeted outdoor heaters, tailored to people and the environment.

For an approximate calculation, we use the following equations:
1. For outdoor areas without wind
Required power [W] = Area [m²] x 250 [W/m²]
2. For outdoor areas with partial wind
Required power [W] = Surface area [m²] x 300 [W/m²]
3. For very cold outdoor areas such as coast/mountains
Required power [W] = Surface area [m²] x 400 [W/m²]
